Dutieso Guard and patrol, on foot or by vehicle, controlled and limited security areas.
o Protect persons, property, and security information against hazards such as fire, espionage, trespass, theft, and accidental or willfulo Ensure buildings are secure and there are no safety or security deficiencies, and initiate the proper action to correct problems.
o Assist local authorities in the event of an emergency situation by setting up road blocks, investigate accidents, enforce motor vehicle regulations, and direct traffic.
o Monitor the radio networks, maintain logs of patrol and events happening during shift.
o Utilize extraordinary security measures and special knowledge and skills to protect arms and ammunition and other materials potentially hazardous to the health and safety of the publicRequirements Conditions of Employmento Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
o Subject to random drug testing.
o Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid state driver's license.
o Must pass an annual physical agility test and weapons proficiency.
o Initial and annual physical exam required.
o Must be able to work 12-hour shifts.
o This position comes within the Commander's Individual Reliability Program (IRP) for arms and ammunition and is required to meet the constraints of the program outlined in AR 190-11.
