Tooele Army Depot is located approximately 45 miles West of Salt Lake City, Utah. The Depot is in Tooele County and surrounded by the communities of Tooele, Grantsville, Stockton, and Rush Valley. The area surrounding the depot is as an urban center for a highly varied and productive agriculture industry. The depot is 42,974 acres and currently serves the missions of conventional ammunition storage, maintenance, demilitarization, and ammunition peculiar equipment. The depot was constructed in 1942 in an area with a historical tradition of Indian cultures. Originally the depot was known as the Tooele Ordnance Depot, which functioned as a storage depot for World War II supplies, ammunition, and combat vehicles. Currently, the depot has maintained the certification of ISO 9001:2000, incorporated the LEAN and Six Sigma structure, and are ready for new missions for not only the Army, but all services of Department of Defense, and partnerships with private industry.

Maintain Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) recreational areas. Perform snow removal requirements using snow blowers, all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) and shovels. Perform operational maintenance on recreational vehicles and equipment. Perform daily cleaning and policing of recreational facilities and equipment. Clean public latrines, party pavilions, and other facilities. Replace towels and tissue and empties trash containers. Clean recreational equipment to include travel trailers, tents, boats, etc. Perform minor maintenance work on recreational equipment. Set up and maintain recreation equipment such as picnic tables, barbecue grills, park benches, trash containers, etc. Perform routine repairs and maintenance on recreational equipment such as painting, replacing hardware, boards, etc. Enforce safety, hygiene and health standards, policies, and regulations.
Working conditions: Work is performed in a variety of settings inside and outside, but primarily outdoors in heat, cold, and occasionally in bad weather. Exposed to dust, dirt, grease, fumes, noise, jolting, etc. while performing grounds maintenance duties.
Candidates must:
1. Have work experience directly related to the duties to be performed which include: Use of tools and equipment normally found in maintaining grounds, facilities, and equipment; experience in operating up to a 1 ton vehicle, an all terrain vehicle, and snow removal equipment, performing operator's maintenance, and complying with safety, traffic rules and regulations; ability to perform a variety of laborer, custodial, driving, and recreational maintenance duties with minimal supervision.
2. Be able to commuicate effectively in English.
3. Be able to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, climb, push, pull, reach, carry, and bend.
4. Be able to lift and move objects 50 pounds or more.
_Conditions of Employment:_
1. A one-year probationary period may be required (Regulary Part-Time/Regular Full-Time positions only).
2. Meet all qualification/eligibility requirements.
3. Satisfactorily complete an employment verification check.
4. Successfully complete all required background checks.
5. Successfully complete physical examination.
